My mom is a big supporter of my photography, and is always asking me what kind of photos tend to get the most likes on Instagram, and I’m always telling her “Mountains, Mom. All people ever want to see are mountains.” So now she takes any excuse she can to make a trip to the mountains with me so that I can take photos.
One day last June, we decided to go out to the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Banff Springs on a day I had off of work. We left Calgary extra early so that we could stop along the way and take some photos. { PS – find my list of 5 Things I Love About the Spa here. }
We chose to head to Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake, as both can be reached via the same relatively short + easy road right off of the main highway, and each has some absolutely stunning vistas.

And after that gorgeous early morning start surrounded by mountains + trees, we got to enjoy a luxurious day at the spa – best of both worlds!
